What Was I Saying?

I’ve been a blogger for over 5 years now and for at least 3 of those years I blogged every single day.  I still blog almost every single day but I have a couple of different blogs I supply content for so it feels like it doesn’t really count.  I mean, I don’t blog on every single blog every single day.  So, what’s my point?

Sometimes it is hard to know what to write.

I come up with blog topics when I’m in the shower.  I think about them in the car.  I go throughout my day and find myself saying, “I should totally blog about this”.  Then I sit in front of my computer.

Know what I’m talking about?

Here is a list to help you (and me) out when you’ve got blogger’s block.

1.  Write a tutorial.  What’s your specialty?  Do people always ask you for your great grandma’s banana bread recipe?  Blog about it.

2. Make a list.  Lists are a great way to format random thoughts.  Many times I make lists and don’t publish them because I find that almost each item can be expanded upon for a blog post of its own.

3. How do you do things?  Do you have systems?  Do you have the best way to get snow off your car?  Is your method of scrubbing the bathroom floor innovative?  Share those things.  You’d be surprised that people like to know this stuff.

4.  Childhood dreams.  Write about your childhood dreams.  Have you met some of those lofty goals?  What changed?  Are your dreams now even better?

5.  If I Were A ___________, I’d Do It This Way.

What are you going to blog about today?
