Social Media Etiquette 101

1. Don’t be a robot. There are so many applications that allow social media users to automate certain things.  I’m a big fan of using the listening tools, but if you use them to broadcast it’s spam.  FYI: I don’t need any more “Thanks for the follow, check out my site!” direct messages.

Online & Offline Branding

Last week, we talked about branding at the Lincoln Social Media Club.  We discussed how important it is to make sure your online and offline branding match– because whether you know it or not, you are a brand. 
We gave everyone stickers to go around and label everyone.  To label everyone with 1-2 words that describe them.

Twitter Lists

I’m going to be completely honest here.  I think I’ve created one or two lists, but I don’t really use them.  And what I really mean by that is I don’t create them myself.  I do, however, like to look at other people’s lists.
