Awesome Camp Recap

Can we tell you how much we loved Awesome Camp this weekend?  It was freaking amazing!  Now that we’ve had a chance to come up for air, here’s what we remember most from Awesome Camp:

  • It was truly awesome… and better than we expected.  We really wanted it to be a building of relationships and learning from one another.  And this is exactly what it was.
  • There were so many great sessions.  So many.  I couldn’t believe all the local talent that showed up.

The pictures pretty much sum up how Awesome it was.  Great attendees, great speakers and red9 was an awesome venue!!  We hope everyone had a great time and learned lots and met some great people.

Social Media 101 Class Scheduled

We have a Social Media 101 class scheduled for March 8th 7-9pm. We go over the basics of Twitter, Facebook, popular blogging sites, and LinkedIn. You also get a free headshot to use as your profile picture. We keep the classes small so we can tailor them to our participants.

Have you clicked over to our Classes tab recently?  We’ve added a lot of new classes in the next month that we’re pretty excited about!  If you are looking to step up your social media game, there’s bound to be a sure fit for you. 

Here’s a run down of the options in the next couple weeks:

Social Media 101- Sept 28th 7-9pm
Want a quick run down of the most popluar social media sites?  This is the class for you!  We will talk about and start using Facebook, Twitter, & LinkedIn.  You even get a free headshot to upload to your profile!

Social Media 201- October 8th, 7-9 pm {$25 Early Bird tickets end soon!!}
I’m all signed up… now what?  We will help you create a plan and focus what you talk about on social media sites.  We will also give you tips on great applications and tips for these sites that will help you be more efficient and effective in getting your message across.

Lunch and Learn- October 15th 11:30-1pm- $15- Downtown Lincoln
This Lunch and Learn seminar will focus on how integrating social media into your overall business strategy can help you generate leads, convert them into customers, and keep them loyal.  You will take away information that you’ll be able to implement that day.

Social Media 101 Class

Wondering how to use Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, and other social media sites to grow your business?  We are having a class this week where we will give you a basic run down on each site and get you started using them.   Included in the class fee is a headshot so you can get that up on your profiles from the start.

Who should take this class?

  • You want to enter the social media space but don’t know where to start.
  • You don’t know the difference between a retweet, hashtag, or status update.
  • You wonder what each of these sites do and how they can help your business.

When: Wed. September 16th from 7pm-9pm

Cost: $50 or $25 if you are a Facebook fan.

Blogging 101 Class Recap

We held a Blogging 101 class last weekend at Scooter’s in Lincoln on 84th & Van Dorn.  We were able to cover a lot of information despite the fact that Scooter’s wireless wasn’t that reliable (their service wasn’t, either).  Looks like we’ll be having our classes somewhere else in the future.  It was a shame, too, because their room was perfect!  We were really digging that plasma tv.

We had a few of our registered participants not be able to make it so it was a smaller group.  This ended up being ideal considering our wireless situation.

Blogging 101 class announced

Interested in learning more about blogging?  We will be having a *FREE* blogging class June 20th from 1-2pm at Scooter’s located at 84th & VanDorn in Lincoln, NE.

We will be learning the basics of blogging such as how to add a hyperlink, photo, and videos to your posts.  We will also be talking about adding information to your sidebar (with links), and adding google analytics to your site.
